Duplicate Half Pattern Symmetrically

Duplicates one half of the pattern symmetrically based on the center line.📦Added in 2025 v 2.2

  1. Select the following tool:

    • 2D Toolbar > 2D Toolbar > Edit Tool

  2. Right-click on a segment of the pattern or internal shape.
    → A context menu appears.

  3. From the context menu, click the following option:

    • Duplicate Symmetrically → The pattern or internal shape is duplicated symmetrically based on the selected segment.


Create Internal Line from a Point

Create a Vertical / Horizontal / Perpendicular Internal Line. 📦Added in 2025 v 2.2

  1. Select the following tool:

    • 2D Editor > 2D Toolbar > Edit Tool

  2. Right-click on a point located on a pattern or internal shape.

    → A popup menu will appear.

  3. From the popup menu, select one of the following under

    • Create Internal Line

      • Horizontal: Creates a horizontal internal line.

      • Vertical: Creates a vertical internal line.

      • at 45° Top Right: Creates a diagonal line from top right to bottom left.

      • at 45° Top Left: Creates a diagonal line from top left to bottom right.

      • Perpendicular

        • CW In: Adds an internal line inside, 90° clockwise from the point.

        • CW Out: Adds an external line outside, 90° clockwise from the point.

        • CCW In: Adds an internal line inside, 90° counterclockwise from the point.

        • CCW Out: Adds an external line outside, 90° counterclockwise from the point.


Offset as Internal Line

Creates internal lines at offset distances, following the curvature of pattern or internal segments.📦Added in 2025 v 2.2

  1. Select one of the following tool buttons:

    • 2D Editor > 2D Toolbar > Edit

    • 2D Editor > 2D Toolbar > Transform

  2. Right-click on the following objects
    → A context menu will appear:

    • Edit Tool: Pattern / Internal / Hole lines

    • Transform Tool: Pattern / Internal / Hole shapes

  3. From the context menu, select:

    • Offset as Internal Line → A dialog box will appear.

  4. In the dialog box, configure the following options:

    • Distance: Set the distance between the selected line and the newly created internal lines.

    • Number: Set the number of internal lines to be generated.

    • Flip: Specify the side on which the internal lines will be created relative to the base line.

    • Extend: Determine how the internal lines will be extended or trimmed.

      • to Pattern Outline: Extend to the nearest pattern outline

      • to Internal Line: Extend to the nearest internal line

      • Off: Do not extend the lines Click the Okay button
        → Internal lines will be created based on the specified settings.


Create Internal Lines Between

  1. Select the following tool:

    • 2D Editor > 2D Toolbar > Edit Tool

  2. After selecting two line segments, right-click on one of the selected segments
    → A context menu will appear.

  3. From the context menu, select:

    • Create Internal Lines Between → A dialog appears.

  4. In the dialog box:

    • Number → As you enter a value, the divided segments are previewed in real time.

  5. Click the Okay button.

    → Internal lines will be created according to the number entered.


Clone as Pattern / Internal Shape

Convert a pattern to an internal shape or vice versa.📦Added in 2025 v 2.1

  1. Select one of the following tools:

    • 2D Editor > Toolbar > Edit

    • 2D Editor > Toolbar > Transform

  2. Right-click on one of the following shapes:

    • Pattern → The right-click popup displays the Clone as Internal Shape menu.

    • Internal Shape → The right-click popup displays the Clone as Pattern menu.

  3. In the popup, click one of the following menus:

    • Clone as Internal Shape → Converts a Pattern into an Internal Shape.

    • Clone as Pattern → Converts an Internal Shape into a Pattern.


Convert to Hole / Internal Shape

Convert an internal shape to a hole or vice versa. 📦Added in 2024 v2.0

  1. Select one of the following tools:

    • 2D Editor > Toolbar > Edit

    • 2D Editor > Toolbar > Transform

  2. Right-click on one of the following shapes:

    • Internal Shape → The right-click popup displays the Convert to Hole menu.

    • Hole → The right-click popup displays the Convert to Internal Shape menu.

  3. In the popup, click one of the following menus:

    • Convert to Hole → Converts an Internal Shape to a Hole.

    • Convert to Internal Shape → Converts a Hole to an Internal Shape.
